How do you plan 10 days in Isla Margarita and Los Roques?
Short answer
One example: you land at Maiquetía, fly to Los Roques for 3 days and 2 nights at Posada La Casa de Sol, fly back to Maiquetía and on to Porlamar for 7 nights at Hotel Margarita Village, all-inclusive. Accommodation starts at US$761 per person; flights and the park fee are not listed on the package pages.
Two islands, one trip
Los Roques and Isla Margarita are two sides of the Venezuelan Caribbean: an archipelago of cays and guesthouses (posadas), and a large island of all-inclusive hotels. Ten days is enough for both with a simple plan: two nights in Los Roques and seven in Margarita, linked by domestic flights via Maiquetía. This is an example built from two real packages in the TripVenezuela catalogue; you can swap the guesthouse, the hotel or the order.

The example assumes the flights on days 1 and 3 connect on the same day. We do not publish schedules because they change; if they do not connect, you may need a night near the airport, which is not in the catalogue. Getting between the islands
International flights land at Maiquetía, which resumed commercial operations on 1 September 2026 with limited capacity, according to GOV.UK. From the domestic terminal at Maiquetía, Aerocaribe flies direct to Los Roques, with hand and checked baggage included in all its fares. Isla Margarita is reached by domestic flights from Maiquetía to Porlamar, and Copa sells the Panama City–Porlamar route, which starts on 26 November 2026. If you enter the country at Porlamar with Copa (from 26 November), reverse the order: Margarita first and, at the end, Porlamar → Maiquetía → Los Roques and back to Maiquetía for your international flight.
The packages in the example
- Posada La Casa de Sol: 3 days with island hopping, from US$348 per person: 3 days and 2 nights with meals, non-alcoholic drinks and transfers to the Madriskí and Francisquí cays. It is the only Los Roques package in the catalogue that lists transfers to the cays.
- Hotel Margarita Village all-inclusive, from US$59 per person per night: buffet meals, unlimited drinks, pool, beach club and Wi-Fi. It is the only Margarita package priced per night, so it fits a week; ask about the minimum number of nights when you book.

With Posada Gremary, from US$282 per person on full board with non-alcoholic drinks, the total drops to US$695, although its package page does not list transfers to the cays. These are sums of «from» prices, valid until 31 December 2026; the final price depends on your dates and TripVenezuela confirms it.

What that total does not include
- Flights: the international one and the domestic flights to Los Roques and Porlamar. Neither package page lists them; if any is included, TripVenezuela confirms it when you book.
- The Los Roques national park fee: there is no published official amount; see the Los Roques park fee.
- Transfers in Margarita: the Hotel Margarita Village page does not mention an airport transfer.
- Excursions, travel insurance, tips and any extras the package pages do not mention.
When to go and what to bring
It is warm all year on both islands. According to NASA POWER’s 1991–2020 climatology, February and March are the driest months on both, and it rains more from June to November.
