How do you get to Los Roques?
Short answer
Los Roques is reached by air: Aerocaribe flies direct from the national terminal of Maiquetía airport (Caracas), with hand and checked baggage included in every fare, and SASCA advertises a daily flight subject to availability. We found no official source for a regular ferry. Whether the flight is part of your package is stated on each package page.

Flights
Los Roques is an archipelago off the central coast of Venezuela, and the only inhabited island, Gran Roque, has the airstrip. On 12 October 2026 two airlines described the route on their sites: Aerocaribe flies direct to Los Roques from the national terminal of Simón Bolívar airport in Maiquetía, which serves Caracas, and also offers private flights from any Venezuelan city; SASCA Airlines announces a route to Los Roques every day, with the note that the frequency is subject to availability. Maiquetía resumed commercial operations on 1 September with limited capacity, so confirm the flight with the airline for your dates.
Baggage
Aerocaribe says all its fares include hand and checked baggage; it does not publish the weight allowance on that page. SASCA does not publish a passenger allowance on its home page. The planes are small, so ask the airline, or TripVenezuela if the flight is part of your package, how many kilos you may take before you pack.
By sea
We found no official source for a regular passenger ferry between the mainland and Los Roques, so this guide does not list one. Do not plan your trip around a crossing that no operator publishes.
What the packages include
The four Los Roques packages in TripVenezuela's catalogue are 3 days and 2 nights at a posada, with meals and, in one case, transfers to the Madriskí and Francisquí cays. Whether the flight from Maiquetía is included, and the departure airport, is confirmed by TripVenezuela when you request a booking: the package page lists exactly what is included. Park fees are a separate matter: see the Los Roques National Park fee.
Plan your trip with TripVenezuela
TripVenezuela offers the trips and manages the booking with you; the posadas, flights and excursions are provided by third parties. See the packages in Los Roques. The sources on this page were accessed on 12 October 2026.
